City of Merritt – NEW ONLINE ACCOUNT

The instructions below will help guide you through setting up your own City of Merritt account.  You can print these instructions out or open a new browser window and go to www.merritt.ca and click “Merritt Online Accounts” to start.

PROCESS

STEPS

1. Start utility billing setup

Hover over “Online Services” (1), click “Utility Bill” (2), click “Link and Register” (3), then click “Show Me How” (4)

 

2. Enter information and register for emails

 

a. Find your Account Number (1) and PIN (2) on your Utility Bill.

 

 

 

b. Enter your account number (1) and PIN (2) from your utility bill as shown. Click the “notification” check box (3), select “Attach a PDF Copy of the Utility Bill to the Email” (4).  Enter your email address (5) and click “Verify” (6).  Check your email and enter the 6 digit verification code (7) and click “Continue”


c. Enter your email address as your “User Name” and your “Email Address” (1), enter a password (at least 7 digits) (2), and click “Save”

 

3. Add your property tax account

 


 a. Click “Link and Register” (1) again at the top, look for the “Need to Add an Account?” drop down box.  Select “PT -Property Taxes” (2) 



b. Find your roll number (1) and Access Code (2) from your property tax notice as shown (with any leading zeros but without the 451)

c. Enter your roll number (1) and Access Code (2) from your utility bill as shown. Click the “notification” check box (3), select “Attach a PDF Copy of the Utility Bill to the Email” (4).  Enter your email address (5) and click “Verify” (6).  Check your email and enter the 6 digit verification code (7) and click “Continue”
