An important security improvement to your District of Kent Online Portal is coming. Starting in June 2026, logging in will require a second verification step called Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).
MFA is a widely used security measure that helps protect your account even if your password is ever compromised.
What is Changing?
When you log in, you will now be asked to verify your identity using a code sent to your email address. This happens automatically — there is no separate enrollment or setup required.
How to Log In After the Change
1. Visit the portal and enter your email address and password as usual.
2. A code will be sent automatically to the email address on your account.
3. Enter the code on the login screen to complete your sign-in.
The code email will arrive within a few minutes. If you do not see it, check your junk or spam folder.
Do You Need to Do Anything?
No action is required in advance. MFA will be applied automatically to all accounts on the go-live date.
Please ensure the email address on your account is current and accessible.
